STMT Logistics Coordinator

Department: Mobilization
Location: Plano, TX

Position Summary

The STMT Logistics Coordinator will work with the Director of Short-Term Mission Teams to provide administrative and operational support to team leaders, trip participants, and partnering churches. The STMT Logistics Coordinator will work closely with East-West Mobilization staff to advance ministry partnerships. This position is responsible for playing their part to achieve the bigger mission of East-West and for ensuring all duties and responsibilities are clearly aligned with East-West Ministries Vision, Mission, Values, Statement of Faith, and Biblical principles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate stateside 30+ STMTs annually to participate in overseas ministry which includes:
    • Confirm background checks, waivers, physician release forms where applicable
    • Apply for foreign visa’s for team where applicable
    • Confirm team leaders have access to and use Twisted River
    • Prepare participant travel sheet
    • Host check-in calls with team leaders, praying with leaders as opportunities arise
    • Communicate cross culturally with national partners to ensure logistics are covered
    • Confirm cash/direct deposit advance received by logistical lead
    • Final phone call with team leads, logistical leads, and shadows for teams
    • Final check-in and budgetary concerns
  • Attend meetings, retreats, and conferences as requested
  • Lead, attend, and/or contribute to East-West sponsored spiritual formation activities

Education and Experience

  • Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
  • High commitment to, and practices, regular prayer and time in the Word
  • Faithful member of a local church
  • Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear, concise gospel message
  • Experienced in effectively discipling new followers of Jesus, preferred
  • BA degree preferred
  • Trained Biblically and theologically
  • Experienced in cross-cultural ministry, preferred

  • Experienced in leading cross-cultural short-term mission teams

  • Good communication and networking skills
  • Must have a passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ
  • 3-5 years of related administrative experience, including supporting multiple departments
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Accurate typing of 60-85 WPM
  • Above average aptitude for technology
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Honest, diplomatic and confident
  • Ability to use tactics that are most effective to fulfill the job requirements
  • Driven to constantly improve job functions – not satisfied with “status quo”
  • Teachable spirit, willingness to learn
  • Good listener, patient, and kind
