Associate Regional Director

The Associate Regional Director will serve as a dedicated and spiritually mature leader. In this vital field leadership role, the ARD will be instrumental in supporting the Regional Director by fostering the spiritual growth, leadership development, and strategic effectiveness of the field team. The ARD will focus on directly supporting the work and serving the team under the guidance of the Regional Director. This role is an overseer, sacrificing, and shepherding position, requiring a servant mentality. They are also responsible for playing their part to achieve the bigger vision and mission of East-West and for ensuring that all ministry activities are clearly aligned with East-West’s Vision, Mission, Values, Faith Goals, Statement of Faith, and Biblical principles.

As an ambassador of faith in Christ and rooted in Biblical principles, this role will actively minister to EW leadership, staff, partners, and the community in a manner that exhibits Christ-character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.

????Key Results:

  • Provide spiritual and strategic leadership to field staff

  • Help field ministry staff and national partners grow their ministry to multiplying movements of healthy disciples and healthy churches

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Spiritual Development

    • Evaluate and nurture the spiritual health of each team member you directly support, focusing on their personal prayer life, engagement with the Word of God, responsiveness to the Holy Spirit, and commitment to disciple-making.

    • Provide individualized guidance and resources to enhance personal spiritual disciplines and foster a deeper walk with Christ among team members.

    • Assist in promoting a culture of spiritual vitality and dependence on God within the team.

  • Leadership Development

    • Assess and support the development of team leadership capabilities, promoting effective communication, conflict resolution, and team cohesion at the operational level.

    • Provide practical assistance and guidance in time management and budget management for individual team members and specific projects, ensuring efficient and responsible stewardship of resources.

    • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their overall effectiveness and maximize their impact in the field, working in close collaboration with the Regional Director.

  • Church Multiplication Development

    • Support the implementation of the Four Fields strategy within the team, ensuring clear, reproducible church planting strategies are being understood and executed.

    • Provide hands-on support and practical guidance to strengthen CPM efforts at the team level, aiming for sustainable and multiplying church planting movements.

    • Assist in documenting and sharing best practices and learning within the CPM framework.

  • Develop and maintain a network of personal support

Education and Experience

  • Education:

    • BA degree preferred (in a relevant field such as Theology, Biblical Studies, Missions, Business Administration, or a related discipline).

    • Trained biblically and theologically to engage in strategic discussion.

  • Overall Experience: 4-7+ years of progressively responsible experience in ministry, missions, or a non-profit setting.

  • Leadership/Supervisory Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience in a leadership, team lead, or supervisory capacity, where you were responsible for guiding others, managing projects, or overseeing specific ministry areas.

  • Cross-Cultural/Overseas Ministry Experience:

    • Experienced in cross-cultural ministry.

    • Have traveled often or lived overseas, in a similar context (preferred).

    • Two years' experience ministering to a similar culture (preferred).

  • Church Planting Experience: Experienced in planting churches overseas.

  • Evangelism & Discipleship Experience:

    • Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear, concise gospel message.

    • Experienced in effectively discipling new followers of Jesus (preferred).

Leadership Training: Experienced in training national leaders and cross-cultural church planting
