The Mobilization Team exists to mobilize the Body of Christ by working with local churches and individuals to pray, give, and/or serve among the nations. Whether for a week or a lifetime, we mobilizer prayer warriors, send short-term missions teams and deploy long-term field workers overseas to share the gospel, make disciples, and plant churches where none currently exist.
The role of a Mobilizer is to multiply their passion for God’s global purpose. The goal of a Mobilizer is to mobilize resources to the harvest through more praying, giving, and going. As a Mobilizer, you will be equipped to guide believers’ hearts, minds, and feet towards fulfilling the Great Commission through the ministries of East-West. The mission of a Mobilizer is to invite churches, organizations, and individuals to join in the work God is doing through East-West in the world. As a Mobilizer, you are responsible to work collaboratively with the Mobilization team and in the organization to create movement towards East-West’s faith goals. This position is responsible for ensuring all leadership, mobilization, and communication clearly align with East-West’s Vision, Mission, Values, and Biblical Principles.
Reports to: US Director of Mobilization or the Sr. Mobilizer
Position Location: Remote – USA
This is a fully support-raised position
Areas of Responsibility
Work with other mobilizers to meet team goals
Identify, engage, and cultivate new and existing relationships for partnering with East-West
Mobilize and lead up to six Short-Term Mission Teams each year
Assist the U.S. Director and/or Senior Mobilizer on projects and assignments as requested
Raise and maintain a network of support
Other duties as assigned
Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
Experienced in leading cross-cultural short-term missions teams
Ability to travel overseas up to 6 weeks a year
Ability to raise personal support as well as develop and manage personal ministry budget
Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear, concise gospel message
Strong team player
Displays a teachable spirit
Good communication and networking skills
Must have a passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ
Ability to respond with clear thinking during stressful situations
Committed to timely communication with supervisor
Demonstrates willingness to be held accountable
Demonstrates ability to relate and communicate cross-culturally, preferred
Committed to continual learning of the local context and culture
