Position Summary

The Associate Field Leader of the Caribbean Field will coordinate field ministries, finances, and Mobilization initiatives sponsored by East-West Ministries for the Caribbean Field. They will assist the field leader in developing the Caribbean Field, initiating new ministries, and overseeing the execution of annual field ministry plans and field personnel. Additionally, this position mobilizes resources for projects and oversees the annual budget planning for the fields, evaluating ministry activity to determine which are most effective for funding purposes. The Associate Field Leader will provide input into partnerships with non-East-West staff and ministries.

This is a full support-raised position.

Key Results

• Assist the Field Leader in conducting and/or overseeing ministry activities that result in the progression of phases being achieved on the seven phases of progress.
• Under the direction of the Field Leader, help field ministry staff and national partners grow their ministry to multiplying movements of healthy disciples and healthy churches

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of the annual Field Ministry plan and budget
• Assist the execution of ministry goals and plans
• Assist with the field ministry structure and personnel
  • Recruit and mobilize personnel in collaboration with East-West Recruitment Team
  • Develop field team personally and professionally, including succession planning
  • Develop ministries of evangelism, equipping, training, and mobilization
  • Instruct, assist, equip, evaluate, coach, and encourage nationals on the field
  • Adjust leadership structure as needed based on the growth and abilities of nationals
  • Pursue partnership opportunities to expand the ministry in the Caribbean
• Responsible for timely reporting of financial data, statistics, and ministry stories
• Actively promote and engage resources to create a self-sustaining ministry
• Develop and maintain a network of personal support
• Lead, attend, and/or contribute to East-West sponsored spiritual formation activities and perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
• High commitment to, and practices, regular prayer and time in the Word
• Experienced in sharing his/her faith with a clear, concise gospel message
• Experienced in effectively discipling new followers of Jesus, preferred
• BA degree preferred
• Trained biblically and theologically
• Experienced in cross-cultural ministry, preferred
